In The 1970s LINDISFARNE

Lindisfarne from Newcastle Upon Tyne were formed in 1968 with original members Allan Hull who died in 1995, Ray Jackson and Rod Clements. The group were known for their progressive folk rock and made several singles to hit the charts in the 1970s.

The first single in 1972 was Meet Me On The Corner from the album Fog On The Tyne on 1971. This No. 5 hit was followed by the No. 3 hit the Lady Eleanor written by Hull.

The groups last hit was in 1978 (top 30 single wise) and that came with the hit Running For Home

Amazingly the Fog On The Tyne never made it as a hit single!!!!!

ONE ON ONE WITH ROD CLEMENTS
