In The 1970s Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock born in 1940 as Herbert Jeffrey Hancock and was happy playing Mozart at a very early age. During the 1960s he was a member of the Miles Davis Group and later Herbie wrote the theme to Fat Albert And The Crosby Kids.

In the 1970s Herbie did have some British chart hits with You Bet Your Love in 1979 a great disco dance hit. Nothing amazing about the song but a nice pop song nevertheless and came from the album Feets, Don't Fail Me Now.

The only other hit in the 70s for Herbie was another disco hit called I Thought It Was You. Herbie would make the pop history annuls again in the 1980s having the first pop video on MTV called Rockit, however he was not seen in the video as being black was not yet an MTV selling point.

I Thought It Was You came from the album Sunlight which also featured Ray Parker Jnr.
