Seventies Music Charts: Top Ten Hits From April 1978

Here are the pop charts for weekend the 29th April 1978 UK.
1.Night Fever by the Bee Gees
From the film and album "Saturday Night Fever", this was one of many chart hits for the Bee Gees which came from this huge worldwide album, and was produced by the amazing Robert Stigwood.
The "Saturday Night Fever" sold  forty million copies , and the "Night Fever" single was a huge worldwide hit, and this one album is responsible for so much inspiration in 70s music.

Maurice Gibb died in 2003 and Robin Gibb in 2012.





This former number one record was a one off hit, and told the story of the artist Lowry and his pictures of Northern England.





3.I Wonder Why by Showaddywaddy.
Dressed as Teddy Boys , this one of many hits for this Britsh fun pop group, this song was originally a hit in 1958 by  Dion and The Belmonts.

4.If You Cant Give Me Love by Suzie Quatro.
American Rocker soon fell in love with the UK and lived there for decades, this hit got to number four, five years prior she was getting regular top three hits. She also appeared in "Happy Days", and now she is also a DJ on BBC radio 2, where she still plays 70s music.
